After pursuing an (unsuccessful) career in professional rugby, Matt decided to make a living out of doing what he loved; discovering unspoilt wilderness spaces and participating in their preservation. Matt is no stranger to exploration and adventure, having embarked on and led many trips into and around Africa and Antarctica, including leading the first ever barefoot expedition to the top of Kilimanjaro.

Matt likes exploring wild spaces, spear fishing and ice-cold Devils Peak Lagers. His dislikes include wearing shirts, wearing shoes and the indoors!

He has a deep love for wildlife and conservation, and an extensive knowledge and passion for Africa and particularly the Wild Coast.
